Laurie Falk

September 16, 1957 - April 2024

Laurie Falk passed away unexpectedly at her home in Converse, Texas, and was found on April 6, 2024. She was 66 years old. Born on September 16, 1957, Laurie was a woman of contrasts-reserved and private yet playful and mischievous with those she trusted most.

Laurie is survived by her brother George Falk and his wife Lesa of Eastland, Texas; her aunt Audrey Wilson of San Antonio, Texas; several nieces, cousins, and stepfamily members Dulane, Erin, and Leigh. Among those who knew her best was her cousin Laura "Sissy" Livingston-Haberle, with whom she shared countless shenanigans and mischievous adventures that created lasting memories. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandy Wilson-Falk; her father, George Falk; and her aunt Roger Ann Wilson-Griffin.

Laurie had a quiet nature, but her mischievous side brought humor and charm to the lives of her family and close friends. She was deeply connected to animals, especially golden retrievers, and had a special appreciation for the natural beauty of the outdoors. Laurie loved riding horses in Kerrville, Texas, and found solace on the beaches of Rockport, Texas, where she delighted in collecting seashells.

Football was a passion of Laurie's, and she never liked to miss a game, especially when her favorite teams, Tennessee and Dallas, were playing. Her loyalty to the things she loved was unwavering.

Laurie worked in the medical field for most of her life, including her most recent role as an insurance coder. She consistently learned new skills, accepted the challenges in her career, and was steadfast in her dedication to her work.

Her family made fitting and the heartfelt decision to scatter her ashes near the beach and bay to honor her love of the area. Laurie's spirit, filled with quiet resolve and a playful streak, will be remembered and loved by those who held her close.

I miss Laurie so much! Everytime I hear Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks, I think of cousin Laurie. She influenced me most though her love of Music.
