A graveside service for Sherman Carlos Lawson, Jr. age 62, of Cadiz, KY, will be Friday, November 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY. Bro. Timothy Sprouse and Bro. Brock Moore will officiate.
Sherman, affectionately known as Butch, was born on February 21, 1962 in Marion, VA to Sherman Sr. and Nancy Lawson. He passed away on November 3, 2024. Butch was a veteran of the United States Air Force and an electrician by trade. Butch was baptized in 2019 and became a member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Burna, KY. He was known for always being there for the ones he cared about and loved fishing, his dogs, hunting, archery and hand-crafting his own bows and arrows.
He is preceded in death by one grandchild. In addition to his parents, Butch is survived by his wife, Shelia Jackson Lawson; daughter: Jessica Lawson; step-children, Deitra Loveless and Derek Loveless; siblings: Cynthia Brown and Tammy McElroy; 5 grandchildren; loving aunt, Helen Vernon; and many more loving nieces and nephews.
