Micah Sieder Obituary

Micah Jon Sieder, February 24, 1972 - February 17, 2024

On the 17th day of February in the year 2024, Micah Jon Sieder departed from this world and entered into eternal rest. Born in Piqua, Ohio, on February 24, 1972, his fifty-one years on this earth were marked by an unquenchable zest for life and an infectious spirit that brought joy to all who had the pleasure of his company. Micah's life was one of vibrant engagement with the world and an enduring commitment to the happiness of those around him.

Micah was known by so many to be the brightest light in the room, radiating warmth and wit into the lives of everyone around him. His personality and love for others was absolutely infectious; he was the kind of guy who could find a silver lining in a cloud factory and the one you'd find at the center of the crowd, sharing a laugh or a bear hug-free of charge.

The legacy of Micah's laughter and love is carried on by his proud family: his father, Stan Sieder; his stepmother, Helen; his mother, Cathy Murphy; his stepfather, Les, whom he affectionately called "Pop"; his sister, Meghan Grchan; brother-in-law, Steve; nephew, Jameson; niece, Molly; his stepsister Kimberly Wilson, and so very many other extended family members and friends who are left to treasure his memory.

Preceding him in the great beyond are his grandparents, Maryellen "Cookie" and Bud Woods, his uncle Bill Woods, his cousin and best friend, Kyle "Skeeter" Resler, his stepbrother Randy, and his stepsister Leah.

Over the years, Micah worked in and mastered several types of skills; With a natural talent for sales, he could engage and persuade with unrivaled charm and wit. He could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in a white dress (and would surely tell you all about it later on) - a master in the art of communication! In remodel and construction, he could turn a cave into the Taj Mahal - a true artist! Prior to his most recent focus of Construction Project Management, Micah was the creator and founder of Kayracks, his own business venture to design and create hand-crafted Kayak and Paddleboard racks which were sold throughout the United States. He was, quite simply, a logical genius who loved working with his hands, fixing things, improving on things - always while challenging the status quo.

Micah's hobbies were a testament to his zest for life. Growing up, he loved riding anything with 2 wheels - or even 1 wheel (he was a pro on the unicycle!), playing Catcher in baseball, and then going on to break records in high school for football accomplishments. As an adult, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing (oh, to watch him throw a cast net!), overseeing a smoker full of meat, making everyone laugh, concerts, being creative with his hands, listening to others' stories and having meaningful conversations, discussing ideas, having a few Slim Jims with friends, watching every movie Netflix ever put out, and riding his motorcycle – a treasured gift from his cousin Kyle. He could always be found where a good time was being had… or he showed up and made it a good time!

We honor the life of Micah Jon Sieder, a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. Micah's chapter on earth may have closed, but the stories of his escapades will be told and retold, each time with a smile as broad as his own. So, here's to Micah-may the fish be biting, the smoke be rising, and the laughter be echoing wherever his journey has taken him.

We love you & we like you.

Family, never saw a frown on his face. He was so loved and now so missed

I didn't know him well, but I knew him well enough to like him, he was one of life's true characters always a pleasure bumping into him, around Safety Harbor, always a smile and a laugh.
I was saddened by the news of his passing. He certainly lived life on his own terms and in his own unique style.

He'll be missed by all that knew him.

I'm sorry for such a great loss, to all his family and friends.

Rest in Peace big feller.

This is the most beautiful and accurate tribute that could have ever been written. Your words so delightfully bring tears to my eyes and love into my heart. Thank you for sharing your words. They perfectly sum up what my simple mind could not muster to describe what it was to be a part of Micah´s life.

So much joy, love and laughter he brought to everyone that were around him, my heart is hurting for our family. It's true my son Kyle "Skeeter" Resler and Micah were more than cousins..they shared a beautiful brotherly love. So that does give me some comfort knowing that they are again together.

What a wonderful adventurous boy he was growing up, a real joy. I was so glad we got together the last time I was in Safety Harbor. We Shared pretzels & drinks then walked over to Frosty Harbor for a cone. Deepest sympathy for the WHOLE family. <3
