Patricia Ann (Kurtz) McMeen Teitrick

June 2, 1931 - February 10, 2025

Patricia Ann (Kurtz) McMeen Teitrick passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, at Chapel Pointe with her loving family holding her hand and singing to her. She was born June 2, 1931, in Carlisle and was the devoted only child of the late Martha (Brown) Kurtz and Lawrence Eugene Kurtz. Pat married her high school sweetheart, Robert H. McMeen, who tragically passed away on December 5, 1958. She later met and married Paul R. Teitrick II and they celebrated 63 years of marriage before Paul passed away on May 26, 2023.

Pat graduated from Boiling Springs High School and earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Shippensburg State Teachers College. She taught kindergarten at LeTort Elementary School in Carlisle for 25 years. She also taught in the South Middleton and Cumberland Valley School Districts for several years early in her career. Pat was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Carlisle, AAUW and the Junior Civic Club. She also volunteered for many years with Meals on Wheels, Project Share and at the Bosler Free Library, all of Carlisle. Pat loved to read, travel, garden and entertain family and friends at her home in the country. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she enjoyed decorating for the holiday season, as it was very important to her to keep the family traditions alive. She and Paul also loved to spend time together in Cape May, N.J.

She is survived by her three daughters, Karen McMeen Schultz (Lynn), Shari McMeen-Minnich (Dennis) of Carlisle and Annette Teitrick Roschel (Randy) of Lancaster. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Marc Peterman (Regan), Joshua Peterman (Michelle), Ellen Coats (Christopher) and Emily Peterman; and nine great-grandchildren, Allison, Sam, Zady, Colton, Finley, Olivia, Andrew, Annette, and Dory. She is also survived by several cousins and nieces and nephews.

A visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on March 15, 2025, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Steve Motter officiating. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or to the Bosler Free Library. The family wishes to thank the staff at Chapel Pointe for their loving care of Pat while she resided there. www.EwingBrothers.com.
