Phyllis Mowery Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. I worked with Phyllis since I was 17 years old at the Department of Agriculture back in 1975. She was my supervisor and work mother. She taught me a lot. We would eat lunch together. Have dinner together and laugh all the time. We stayed in touch over the years. She was absolutely the most wonderful woman to be around. I miss her so much! My condolences to her family.

I worked with Phyllis for many years at the department of agriculture. We had breakfast together every morning around 6 o´clock because we were both early birds. What was really strange was that everyone thought she was my sister? She was a wonderful lady and will be missed. I condolences to her family.

I was a toddler when I first met Miss Phyllis, she was my mother´s old supervisor. I remember at least twice year after she retired, she would could down with her husband to Langley Park to see my mother and I and go to the original Ledo´s Pizza. My mother and Miss Phyllis would catch up and I would regale them with stories from school as we all ate pizza. Those are the times I missed the most and outside of my immediate family she is considered family, as she always thought of me as a friend. You will be missed.
