Roger Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 5, 2024.
Roger Derek "Pow Pow" Anderson, 48, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away on September 4, 2024. Born in Rexburg, Idaho, on November 18, 1975, Roger lived a life marked by adventure and deep connections with nature and family.

Roger's love for his wife was unmatched by any man's love for a woman, so much so that on the night of may,14th,1995 he decided to profess his love to her on her front door step with not just a rose but the whole rose bush. And after all their love for each other florished more than just a rose

He became a father on the day of June 1st 1997, having a son changed his outlook on life completely. Some of his best times were spent with his 2 boys in the mountains of the PNW off-roading and fishing.

Roger was a skilled arborist, a profession that aligned with his love for the outdoors. His reverence for nature extended into his spiritual life, finding his places of worship in the forests where he climbed and the waters where he fished. His hobbies included tree climbing, off-roading, fishing, cooking, and spending quality time turning wrenches with his sons, embodying his commitment to loving his family with everything in him.

He is survived by his wife, Kaysy Anderson; son, Lane Anderson and daughter-in-law, Jenna Anderson; son, Dylan Anderson; granddaughter, Melody Anderson; grandson, Sawyer Anderson; grandmother, Agnes Galbraith; grandmother, Shirley Anderson; and a host of family and friends who cherished him deeply. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Roger Anderson; mother, Jana Miller; and sister, Alisa Miller.

Roger's ashes will be spread individually by loved ones in places where they feel most connected to his joyous spirit, as per his wishes. Magnolia Cremations and Funeral Services of Montgomery, Alabama, is assisting the family during this time. Roger's legacy of joy and adventure will undoubtedly live on through those who knew and loved him.
