Samuel Cody Bennett, age 36, resident of Mason, Tennessee, departed this life Monday, October 21, 2024 at his home.
Samuel was born September 7, 1988 in Somerville, Tennessee, the son of Samuel Bennett and Marie Catherine Johnson Bennett. He was employed as a heavy machine operator, truck driver and carpenter. Samuel loved children and was a jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed fishing and working on cars – his last moments alive were spent doing what he loved.
Samuel is survived by his fiancé, Molly Cobb; four daughters, Cally Maree Bennett of Mason, TN, Keri Ann Bennett of Cookeville, TN, Katelynn Marie Bennett of Cookeville, TN and Kassidy Renee Bennett of Cookeville, TN; four sons, Samuel Jacob Bennett of Mason, TN, Matthew Busby of Mason, TN, Cody Andrew Bennett of Cookeville, TN and Colton Lee Bennett of Cookeville, TN; his parents, Samuel Bennett of Braden, TN and Marie Catherine Johnson Bennett of Mason, TN; and two brothers, Tyrell Matthew Bennett (Angela) of Arlington, TN and Cassidy Johnathan Andrew Johnson of Whiteville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Lee Bennett and his sister, Robyn Lynn Patterson Phillips.
Funeral Services were held at 1 P.M. Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Samuel Henry Bennett, Tyrell Matthew Bennett, Samuel Jacob Bennett, Mike Miller, Bryan Shriver and David Gentry. Honorary pallbearers included Greg Branstetter.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude’s Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
