Sara Lou Massey Brown-Harris, age 76, of Cedar Springs, GA passed away Friday evening, October 27, 2023 at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.
The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Springs Courthouse Annex.
Mrs. Brown-Harris was born in Octavia Hall, Mississippi on Dec. 17, 1946, to Billy Massey and Ester Cochran Massey. She retired from Cooking Good Chicken in Dothan, AL and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Cedar Springs, GA.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Harlon Harris of Cedar Springs, GA; her children, Timothy Wayne Higginbotham and wife Betty of Monroeville, AL, Ronnie Higginbotham and wife Vivian of Farmville, NC, Keith Higginbotham and wife Shelley of Jakin, GA, Sandra Odom of Cedar Springs, GA, Jamie Murphy and husband Chad of Greer, SC, and Damien Harris of Cedar Springs, GA; her brothers, Jerry Massey and wife Donna of Avon Park, FL, Dennis Massey and wife Janie of Sebring, FL, Terry Massey and wife Gayla of Sebring, FL, and Johnnie Massey and wife Renee of Newberry, FL; as well as 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown-Harris was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Ester Cochran Massey and her siblings, Mary Sue Hawkins, Willie Massey, Dorothy McNeel, Bobby Massey, Jack Massey, and Vernon Massey.
