Betty Koulianos Obituary
Campbell - Betty Koulianos, 92, of Campbell passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, at St Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.
Betty was born on June 21, 1932, in Youngstown, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Steven and Sevasti (Ellinos) Kotis.
Betty graduated from Campbell Memorial High School in 1952 and began a career with Blue Cross Blue Shield prior to becoming a devoted mother and wife to her family.
Betty is reunited with the love of her life, her late husband Charles Koulianos Sr, who passed away September 13, 2020. Betty and Charles were married on January 15th, 1955 \ and were blessed to spend 65 years together creating a beautiful life and family together.
Betty will be deeply missed, and her memory will be cherished by her children, Charlie Koulianos Jr of Campbell, Steven "Stamati" Koulianos also of Campbell, and John "Yianni" (Susan) Koulianos of Canfield. Grandchildren; Charlie (Joey) Koulianos, George Koulianos, Jonathan Koulianos, and Katie Koulianos; great-grandchildren, Markella Koulianos, Fotios Koulianos, and Anna Maria Koulianos; daughter-in-law, Anna Koulianos of Austintown. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and godchildren whom she loves very deeply.
Besides her parents; Betty is preceded in death by her late husband Charles Koulianos Sr, sisters, Virgina Halkitis, Mary Wasko, Irene Lyras, and brother, John Kotis.
Betty was a beloved servant to not only her family, but God, and her beloved Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell, Ohio. Betty devoted over 40 years of service to her church and was a pillar in the Campbell Greek community. She served as president of the Ladies Philoptochos Society for many years at Archangel Michael. She also served as a member of the Women's Kalymnian Society. Betty was a recipient of the St. Photios award in 2015, which goes to a dedicated servant of God, who has given so much of their life to their church, parish, faith and to Christ.
Betty enjoyed attending various church events, her children & grandchildren's sporting events growing up, and most importantly attending her weekly appointment at Paulette's Hair-A-Cey beauty salon where she enjoyed getting her hair and nails done. Many will miss seeing Betty at church functions, parties, festivals, and family gatherings. Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved her.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 and again on Wednesday morning, December 4 from 8 to 10:45 a.m. at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, 401 12th Street in Campbell. Funeral services will follow the calling hours in the church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Steve Denas officiating Wednesday morning.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
