Sally Arnott Revella, 74, of Girard, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on January 11, 2025.
Born December 8, 1950, to Robert and Dorothy (Deeley) Arnott, Sally is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Michael, and her cherished daughters Jordana (Csaba Orosz) and Sara (John) Deskin, as well as four granddaughters, Cecilia, Nora, Fiona, and Ellie. Sally is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard.
Sally graduated from Girard High School in 1968 and that summer spent six weeks studying Fashion Art and Design in Paris, Geneva, Rome, and Madrid. After earning a degree in education from Youngstown State University, she traveled across the country with her soulmate, Michael Revella. In 1973, her teaching aspirations and cultural curiosities led her to Australia to teach elementary school. Upon her return, Michael and Sally were wed in 1975 and started their married life together in Eugene, Oregon.
After welcoming their first daughter, Sally and Michael’s desire to be close to family brought them back to Girard, where Sally started a long career fulfilling her passion as an early childhood educator.
Sally was an avid reader, an enlightened student of the world, exhibiting patience, kindness, tolerance, and wisdom. She was a vital member of the GHS Class of 1968 Reunion Committee. Sally loved traveling, animals, vegetarian cooking, knitting, watching football, spending time with her husband, talking to her daughters, and watching her granddaughters laugh and play. Even when her neuro-muscular disease took away her physical abilities, she bore the burden without complaint, suffering silently and without self-pity. She continued to find ways to enjoy time with her family and always loved planning trips to Disney World.
She will be missed by many friends and family, especially her sisters (in-law) Joan Arnott, Deborah Johnson, and Charmaine Revella, and her best friend since childhood, Pat Shively.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 15, with calling hours from 11 a.m. to noon and funeral services from noon to 1 p.m. at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Sally Revella to the Angels for Animals at 4750 OH-165, Canfield, Ohio, 44406.
