Ringstad, Michael "Mike"
MADISON - Michael "Mike" Ringstad, age 61, of Madison, passed away on July 13, 2021, at UW Hospital. He was born in Madison, the son of Wayne and Euneva (England) Ringstad.
Mike graduated from LaFollette High School in 1977. He was married for 32 years to the love of his life, Tina. Mike, a chef, worked at various establishments in Madison for his entire career.
Mike was a devoted father and husband. He was known for his mischievous sense of humor by those who knew and loved him. Mike was an avid reader, had a passion for cooking and enjoyed fishing. He was an enthusiastic sports fan and enjoyed cheering on the Packers, Badgers and SF Giants. He also liked playing softball for Madison softball leagues.
Mike is survived by his wife, Tina; brothers, Don (Patty) Ringstad and Alan Ringstad; in-laws, Kathy and Bob Johnson; nieces, nephews, and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jessica; and father-in-law, Ron.
A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
