William "Bill" Spencer Johnson, Sr., of Nebo, NC, died Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Rose Hill Retirement Community.
He was born in 1935, in Lakeland, FL, the son of Beeland W. Johnson and Helen Oleene Turner Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William "Billy" S. Johnson, Jr.; a sister; and a brother.
Survivors include Eva Flo Shepherd Johnson, wife of 69 years; Kimberly A. Leatherman (Charlie), daughter; Todd H. Johnson (Angela), son; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was a Christian and a member of Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church.
No services are planned at this time per his request.
