Martha Jenkins Obituary
Martha was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She loved having children in her home and thrived on the noise and chaos of a full house, which made her an excellent hostess. She even ran a successful catering business for many years because of her love of hosting and serving guests. Martha loved to travel, both alone and with her daughters. She was a perpetually busy and fiercely independent woman who took care of her son until her passing.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Walter N. Jenkins, Jr., and her son, Walter A. Jenkins, Sr., as well as her two sisters, Edith Geraldine Brooks and Sarah Pearl "Anne" McPherson. She is survived by her daughters Carole Rogers, Sue West, and Dianne Buckner, her son Richard Jenkins, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, October 25, in the chapel at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna with interment to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear this! She was most definitely one of the kindest lady I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She will be missed by many! The love she had for son and family, well it was just unbelievable. R.I.P.
