Edward Kowalski, Jr, 87, of Durham, beloved husband of Jean (Garbarino) Kowalski, passed away on Wednesday September 25, 2024 at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in Wallingford, son of the late Edward and Blanche (Pierce) Kowalski, Sr.
Edward was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the US Army. He worked as a talented heavy equipment operator and was a gifted welder. He later worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He loved visiting friends at local fairs and events with his wife outside their popular red and white food trailer “Jeans Place”.
Besides his wife Jean, he is survived by his sons, Ed Kowalski and his wife Daun of Killingworth, John E. Kowalski and his wife Carmella of Guilford, sister, Jane Tartaglia of Lebanon, two granddaughters, Christine and Andrea, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was a proud Pop Pop and enjoyed spending time taking them places and being able to provide them with his love.
Visitation will be held on Friday Oct 4th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Jean my deepest condolences. I remember always joking and talking with Ed either at the Fair, Elk's or Notre Dame. I always enjoy time talking to Ed.
