Martha B. Mull, 80, of Glen Alpine, NC, peacefully passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, with her family by her side.
Born in Burke County, NC, on January 10, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Oliver Brittain and Mable Harrison Brittain.
Martha was an active member of Glen Alpine United Methodist Church and helped with the church bulletin every Sunday until her health declined. She owned and operated Moma Mull's Daycare. Martha was a strong woman who loved her children.
Mrs. Mull is survived by her husband of 60 years, James "J.E." Mull; children, Renee Austin (Allen), Chad Mull, and Troy Adams (Paulette); and brothers, Mike and Roy Brittain.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m., in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home, with Rev. David Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.

Martha was a classmate of mine at Oak Hill school, and a dear friend whose attitude was always positive and her laugh always merry. I first knew her as Martha Brittain, and it took awhile for me to get used to thinking of her as Martha Mull. One of my memories of our early days was of her giving me some pictorial book that her family had, and we cut out some of the pages to make our own scrapbook. Throughout elementary and high school, Martha was a steadfast friend and everyone in our group, Crew of '62 will miss her until we all meet again in Heaven.
