Jeffery Eakle Obituary

Jeffery Ray Eakle, 29 of Lorain Ohio, departed his earthly life peacefully in his sleep on May 6, 2023. He was born on July 8, 1993. He leaves behind his patient and loving parents, Jeff and Tammy Eakle, wife Jessie and 12-year-old Daughter Anna.Three siblings who are "normal" in comparison and we use this word lightly. Sister Toni and Brothers Jesses and Frank. "Granny" Julie Starrett who was his best friend. Grandfather Joe Mike. His Nephews Landyn, Bryson, Colten, Elijah and one niece Sally-Sue.In addition, he has a plethora of aunts, uncles, cousins by the dozens, close friends and local tagalongs throughout West Virginia and Ohio. Who is related and how, none of us are sure but he knew every one of them. Known by many nicknames but "Smalls" and "Jeffy" are the appropriate ones. He was the life of the party and the smiling face greeting you within a very large circle of friends and family. He was a carpenter by trade. Jeffy was always outside and like most hillbilly boys he loved to fish, fix things (or so he thought) and party. Spending his summers on his Great Grandmother's farm in Curtisville, WV. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him, he was respectful and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand.He is proceeded in death by his paternal Grandparents Benjamin and Mary Eakle. His maternal Great Grandparents Lucy and James Starrett. He adored and admired his Grandma Lucy. Uncle Argil"Spike" Starrett, with whom he participated in a lot of stupid shenanigans . Cousin James "Jimbob" Starrett.Cremation has been chosenby his daughter as the final method of disposition. His ashes will be spread at his favorite place on this earth,Grandma Lucy's farm in West Virginia. As well as by her graveside as anyone who knew him would agree this is where he would want to be. The family is planning a celebration of life in early June in West Virginia. Which basically means there will be food, beer, and a lot of talking about all the dumb things he did during his short life. There will be music, fires and probably fights and there is no doubt he will be smiling down, laughing.A go fund me account has been set up to help with cremation costs and get his family and close friends to West Virginia to take him to his final resting place. He will be missed tremendously, his hugs would warm your heart, make you feel safe, and you knew although he might be hard to find, he would have your back and you were loved. He was far from perfect, but he always showed up. He loved big, he partied too much and had so many friends and family it would take the entire newspaper to list them all.Although he was needed here and will be mourned and remembered for the rest of our lives, he is at peace with his Grandma Lucy by his side.
