Patricia Johnson, age 77, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on October 27, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Patricia was born on December 7, 1947, in Morris, Illinois, to the late Donald F. and Gwendolyn J. (Jacobs) Harsh. She graduated from Morris High School with the Class of 1965.
Over the years, Patricia worked as a collision estimator for Broom's Auto Service, Joe Machens Automotive, Body Magic, and Fischer's Body Shop. Later, she joined the team at McDonald's off South Ten Mile Drive, where she was known for her friendly spirit and sense of humor.
Patricia had a zest for life and a heart full of love for her family, especially for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of her favorite pastimes included playing Continental Rummy (where she was known to "cheat" a little for fun), playing bingo, visiting the casino to play one-cent slot machines, and finding treasures at Dollar General and garage sales. She also cherished time spent with her close group of friends-Bev, Ginny, Ginger, and Peggy-her beloved "posse."
She is survived by her daughters, Tracey Backes (Glenn) of Eldon and Wendy Walker (Adam) of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Katlyn Dang (Happy), Jayden Walker (Echo), Cierra Jaco (Zion), Bryce Backes (Maria), Deaken Walker (Anna), Gauge Walker (Emily), and Deanna Backes; and great-grandchildren, Mia, Carter, Monte, Zara, and Eden. She is also survived by her siblings, Donna Walley (Mark), Butch Harsh (Jan), and Susan Muse (Mark); as well as several nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Family for help with funeral expenses.
Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors in Jefferson City, Missouri.
