Louis Smith Obituary

Louis John Smith, 77, of Jarrettsville, MD, passed away March 28, 2025. Born October 12, 1947, in Essex, he was the son of Norman Smith, Louise (Oberle), and Jacob Dumeier. A proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Louis was a longtime member of Mt. Ararat Masonic Lodge and former member of the Jarrettsville Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Barbara Smith; daughter, Jennifer Smith-Weaver (Aron Ianuzzi); stepson, Michael (Rachel) Geppi; grandchildren Justin, Casen, Alexandria, Michael, Nicholas, and Luciana; brother, Donald (Angie) Smith; and many loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Zachary Alan Weaver and sister-in-law Jenny Della Rose.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Harford County or Wounded Warrior Project.
