Died: September 19, 2024 in Rockford, IL.
Jerome B. "Jerry" O'Kraski, 88, of Streator passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 25th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 25th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator.
Born October 11, 1935 in Streator he was the son of Leo and Victoria (Zion) O'Kraski. He married Patricia Teberg , June 10, 1959 in Streator. She preceded him in death on June 29, 2004
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Jo (Michael) Gook of Chatham; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and a brother, Stanley (Darlene) O'Kraski, Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Frank and Gene, half-sister, Virginia Lewis and half-brothers, John and Leo O'Kraski.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Jerry had been the manager of Streator Onized Credit Union prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator, Knights of Columbus, former member of the Jaycees, Streator Grade School Board, and Streator Zoning Commission. He taught gun safety and enjoyed playing the violin. Jerry was a veteran having served in the US Army.
