Obituary of Ada Borda Urban
Ada Borda Urban, 71, of Howell Township passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, December 13, 2024. Ada was born and raised in Lima, Peru, and moved to the United States making her first home in New York City. Over the years, she lived in Elizabeth and Linden before finally settling in Howell in 1981. Ada worked at Henri Bendel and later as a bookkeeper, before dedicating herself to raising her children.
In her retirement, she found joy in working as a cashier at Home Depot in Neptune, where she enjoyed connecting with others. Ada was known for her impeccable sense of style, always stepping out in high heels and staying ahead of fashion trends. She had a deep love for music and dancing, with a special fondness for Rod Stewart.
Ada shared a passion for travel with her husband, relishing their trips to Atlantic City, relaxing at the beach, and spending cherished moments at the Manasquan Inlet. Her vibrant spirit and zest for life left an enduring impression on all who knew her.
Ada was predeceased by her husband, Robert John Urban this October, and her sisters, Sofia, Lola and Elena. She is survived by her three children, Melissa Plastino and her husband, Justin of Morganville, Jessica Pettersson of Howell and Robert B.
