It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adelaida Cabrera, who left us peacefully at the age of 90 on December 29, 2024. Born on October 16, 1934, in Cuba, Adelaida was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, finding joy in her family and nurturing her loved ones throughout her life.
Residing in Altamonte Springs, Florida, Adelaida dedicated herself to her work as a housekeeper in the hospital system, reflecting her strong work ethic and commitment to caring for others. She was a cherished member of the community and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family.
Adelaida is survived by her daughters, Ana Cabrera and Hulda Cabrera; her grandchildren, Ania Vazquez, Osvaldo Gomez, Juan Carlos Gomez, Philip Knudsen, Travis Knudsen, and their spouses, Nicole Gomez, Chelsea Gomez, Ashleigh Knudsen and Karina Knudsen; her great-grandchildren, Aleena Grullon, Gabriella Rosa, Adrianna Rosa, Oliver Knudsen, Noah Gomez, Lucas Gomez, Elias Gomez, and Myla Gomez; and her son-in-law, Hatim Waheeb.
A funeral service will be held in her honor on January 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Highland Funeral Home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at 1:30 PM at 3329 E. Semoran Boulevard, Apopka, FL 32703.
Adelaida's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed.
