Adella Rose Martin
September 9, 1969 – February 8, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Adella Rose Martin on February 8, 2025. A devoted daughter, mother, nana, sister, and friend. Adella was a force to be reckoned with-strong, resilient, fiercely protective, and always ready with a sharp joke or a sarcastic remark that would have everyone laughing. She was the glue that held her family together, always making sure everyone was fed, cared for, and, most importantly, loved.
Born in Hartford, CT, Adella had a deep love for the ocean, dolphins, and family gatherings-especially when she was the one hosting. She thrived in the chaos of family life, whether she was yelling at someone to clean up, spoiling her grandkids, or making sure everyone left her house with full stomachs and happy hearts. She was tough as nails but had the biggest, warmest heart, always putting others before herself and doing whatever it took to make sure her family was okay.
She is survived by her lifelong partner of 27 years, Randy Marsh of Norwalk, CT; her three daughters, Stephanie Dominick of Trumbull, CT, Kyrsten Archer of Shelton, CT, and Kylie Marsh of Norwalk, CT; and her beloved mother, Alta Gagnon of Norwalk, CT. She was a proud and devoted nana to her seven grandchildren: Bentley, Sophia, Jayden, Nailani, Nicholas, Alaiya, and Armani-her greatest joys, whom she spoiled endlessly.
Adella's strength, humor, and unconditional love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back but also tell you exactly how it is-no sugarcoating. Her legacy of love, laughter, and sheer determination will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A service to honor and celebrate Adella's life will be held on Saturday, February 15, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Raymond Funeral Home 5 East Wall St, Norwalk, CT 06851
