With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Alfred W. Brousseau, lovingly known as Al, Al Bundy, Rabbit Man, Can Man, and of course, Pepe. Born on June 29, 1932, in Leominster Massachusetts, Alfred lived a fulfilling and vibrant life that spanned over ninety-one years and left us quietly on February 8, 2024. He was a proud Veteran of the Army, a hardworking laborer in the construction industry, and a dedicated family man. The world lost an adventurous soul, a loving and supportive patriarch, and a man with a witty sense of humor that could light up any room.

Alfred's spirit was characterized by his love for his family and the outdoors. As a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and even a great-great-grandfather, Alfred raised several generations of children in his home in Ashby, Massachusetts. His love for his extended family was a constant source of joy and vitality for him. He was a man of tradition, annually hosting Christmas Eve family gatherings and New Year’s Eve parties. He spent his summers as an active member of the campground community at Shady Point on Lake Shirley, where he was a formidable horseshoe player, and as an annual guest for nearly forty years at the Cape Ann Motor Inn on Long Beach, Gloucester Massachusetts, where he indulged his love for lighthouses. His other favorite pastimes included fishing, bowling, barbeques, fires, can collecting, and tending to his rabbit farm, “Alsrabbittry”.

Alfred is survived by his loving family; his children, William Graham, Raymond Graham, Karen Dwyer, Cheryl Petit, and Robert Graham; his grandchildren, William “BJ” Graham III, Sherrie Parker, Jeffrey Graham, David Graham, Edward Dwyer, Kristina Comtois, Daniel Rushinski Jr., Bonnie Rushinski, Jason Petit, Vanessa Bailey, Amanda Graham, and Jason Freeman; his great-grandchildren, Cindi Terrell, David Graham, Kyle Graham, Tyler Graham, Briella Graham, Alisa Lackey, Mikayla Wozny, Liam Rushinski, Brea Graham, Kelsey Parker, Haley Rudder, Spencer Parker, Tyler Dwyer, Nia Rose Dwyer, Ivy Lee Dwyer, Raven Comtois, Justin Comtois, Myah Rushinski, Daniel Rushinski III, Quinn Bailey, Garrett Bailey, and Jace Graham; and his great-great-grandchild, Alana Amadon. He is also survived by his sister, Paulette Freeland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Evelyn Brousseau; his beloved wife, Dorothy Brousseau; and his siblings, Donald Brousseau and Diane Marien.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Alfred will be held on Friday, 23rd Feb 2024 at 2:00 PM EST at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts, 01475. The family warmly invites all who knew and loved Alfred to share their cherished memories and photos of him on his memorial page. Let us remember Alfred, not for his departure, but for the remarkable life he lived, the people he touched, and the happiness he spread.

Arrangements are under the care of Brandon Funeral Home.
