Alice Zolla Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 10, 2025.
Alice Diane (Looker) Zolla, 85, passed peacefully on October 7, 2025, at her home in Anthem, Arizona. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts to Bryce O. Looker and Frances G. (LeBlanc) Looker on June 21, 1940, she was raised in Lynn along with her brother Robert and sister Cynthia (Victory). She graduated from Lynn English High School in 1958. She and her sister traveled cross-country and lived in Long Beach, California for a year. Upon her return, she went to work for Gibbs Oil in Saugus, Massachusetts, where she met her future husband, William (Bill) Zolla. They married in 1962 and moved to Derry, New Hampshire, where they spent their entire married life. She is survived by three children, Lorraine M. Zolla (Mark Sollock), Matthew R. Zolla (Cynthia Palutis) and Dianne F. Zolla (Dana Perlow) and two grandchildren, Sadie D. Perlow and Jonah A. Perlow. Alice returned to work in 1986, first at the Insurance Exchange and then for the Town of Derry. She was an avid horsewoman and enjoyed trail riding in the woods and camping with her horse all around New England as a a member of Cross State Trail Riders. After Bill's death in 2016, she enjoyed traveling, which included riding the mules down the Grand Canyon, and vising her grandchildren and grandnephews and nieces. In 2022 she moved to Anthem, Arizona to escape the New England winters where she enjoyed retirement living. A Celebration of Life will be held on the weekend of June 20, 2026, in Derry, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in Alice's name.
