Allan Wayne Irvine, 68 years old, born in Muskegon, Michigan on December 20th, 1955, passed peacefully in his Port Huron, Michigan home on November 6th, 2024, of natural causes with his four children at his side; Andrew, Adam, Alanna, and Alyssa.
His life was full of love and laughter. Al was widely known for his warm, easy-going personality. He was the life of any party or gathering he attended, and would be found on the dance floor in his cowboy hat and long duster coat. He had a good taste for music, which was indicated by the song selection he chose from the jukebox. Al said you don't have to be good at dancing, but that the ladies loved a man who was just willing to dance with them.
Al always saw the good in others and frequently told his children, "you can choose to be happy", and he lived by that statement.
He had a passion for collecting things, but his favorite collection was his Hot Wheels cars. He estimated collecting nearly 3,000 Hot Wheels cars, and it was his desire to pass this collection onto his grandchildren as a remembrance of him.
Al had a wicked sense of humor and anybody who knew him best could tell you that.
In high-school, Al would raced a Camero that he owned which came with the nickname "Blue". Later on in life, he acquired the nickname "Big Al".
Al also had an uncanny sense of humor and anyone who knew him well enough could attest to that. The people that knew him were also aware of his fondness for football. It is said that his blood ran "Maize and Blue" for his favorite college football team, the Michigan Wolverines, and his favorite NFL Pro football team being the Detroit Lions.
To his children and grandchildren, he was known as Dad and Grandpa, respectively. He was always there when they needed a hug or a laugh, or just someone to talk to. His door was always open, and he was always there for his family and loved ones.
He was proceeded in death by his father Claude E. Irvine, mother Sylvia Irvine (Taylor), Step-Father Edger Irvine, brother Gary Miller, sister Carol Schieding, and daughter Lindie Irvine.
He is survived by his 4 children; Andrew Irvine, Adam Chapdelaine (Julie), Alanna Irvine, and Alyssa Campbell (Chris). His two sister's Donna Miller Cooley and Marilyn Brown Williams, his seven grandkids Clara Irvine, Allie Cichowski, Ezio Giuliano, Lucas Cichowski, Kayden Chapdelaine, Korbyn Chapdelaine, and Keatyn Chapdelaine.
Al always had a wonderful sense of life and would not want any of us to mourn his passing but to celebrate his life that he left behind with a Beam and Coke in hand.
Our family would like to invite you to join help us in celebrating our Father's life on Saturday, November 16th, 2024, at 5pm at the American Legion Hall, Post 8.
