Alonzo Josephus "Joe" Logan, MD, 80 of
Kissimmee, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025. He was born in Plains, Georgia, the son of Howard and Thelma Logan. He moved to Casselberry, Florida in 1970 and was stationed at the Orlando Naval Base for 2 years. Dr. Logan and his wife, Rosemary, moved to
Kissimmee, Florida in 1972 where they raised their family. He practiced medicine for over 40 years and retired in 2010. Dr. Logan was a member of the American Medical Association, the former Chief of Staff at Kissimmee Memorial Hospital, now AdventHealth, and he was also on the medical staff at AdventHealth Kissimmee and Celebration hospitals. He was also on the medical staff at Osceola Regional Medical Center. Dr. Logan was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Kissimmee, yet his heart was with the Concord Methodist Church in the community close to Plains, GA. Dr. Logan loved his family farm in Plains.
His favorite hobbies included being outside gardening, which included both vegetables and flowers. He was known to share his vegetables with his friends and family. He loved to hunt and ride tractors. He also enjoyed boating, water skiing, snow skiing and traveling with his family. Dr. Logan is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rosemary B. Logan of
Kissimmee, Florida; his son, Joe Logan and his wife Rikki of Winter Park, Florida; his daughter, Sarah and her husband Lino of Orlando; his brother, Robert Logan and his wife Margaret of Canton, Georgia; his sister-in-law Vicky Logan of Plains, Georgia; his sister, Sara Brodie and her husband Pete of Augusta, Georgia; and his four granddaughters: Grace, Elise, Emlyn Rose, and Camille. Dr. Logan was welcomed into heaven by his daughter, Elizabeth, who preceded him in death in 1991. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Logan.
The Logan family will receive friends on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home, in
Kissimmee, Florida. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road,
Kissimmee, Florida, where he will be accorded full military honors by the United States Navy and the Osceola County Veterans Council Honor Guard. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the Kissimmee Lakefront on the Lawn Area, 201 Lakeview Drive,
Kissimmee, Florida. Services will be conducted by Pastor Cathy Thacker of the First United Methodist Church of St. Cloud, Florida.
