Alton J. Clark, affectionately known to all as Jay-Bird, was born on June 5, 1972, in Augusta, Georgia, and passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on February 14, 2025. He was 52 years old.
The celebration of life service will be held from the graveside at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2025 with Pastor Randy Tiller officiating.
A kind, gentle, and compassionate soul, Jay-Bird was loved by all who knew him. He was a proud country boy, a skilled plumber, and a master of many trades. With a green thumb and a love for animals, he found joy in nature and cared deeply for his family and friends. Jay-Bird's warm heart and generous spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will forever be remembered with love. Rest in peace, Jay-Bird. You will forever be loved, and your memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will forever be remembered with love.
Survivors include mother, Gail Bohler Bird and husband, Kurt of Lincolnton; a daughter Madison Clark Griffin and husband(Corbin) of McCormick SC; a son Lance Jay Clark of North Augusta SC; one grandson Levi Griffith of McCormick SC; two nephews Justin Prince and wife (Stephanie )and Alex Prince along with three great nieces and three great nephews ; all of Augusta, GA.; Alton Jay Clark is preceded in death by his sister Lisa Clark and father, Alton Larry Clark.
