Nancy Edwards Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 9, 2025.
With great love and deep sorrow, we share that Nancy Edwards passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was 66 years old.

Nancy was the devoted wife of David Edwards, beloved mother to Andrew Edwards and his wife, Alisha; Kimberly Edwards and her husband, Timothy; and Samantha DiFraia and her husband, David. Her greatest joy came from being "NeNe" and "NanNan" to her seven grandchildren: Vincent, Wilson, Leo, Ellis, Kennedy, Logan, and Finley. She was also a cherished sister to Marie Ulwick and Andrea Halliday.

She is now reunited in peace with her late sister, Jacquelin Louzan, and her parents, Andrew and Doris (Walsh) Louzan.

To know Nancy was to feel welcomed, heard, and loved. She will always be remembered for her open heart and the safe space she created for her children - they always knew they could talk to her about anything. Her sisters treasured her deep curiosity and genuine interest in the lives of others. Nancy had a gift for connecting with people through kindness, warmth, and her ever-present smile.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures: caring for her dogs, painting, crocheting, tending her garden, and-most of all-spending time with her grandchildren.

Her favorite saying, "Love you more," was more than just words - it was the way she lived. That love will continue to live on in all who were lucky enough to know her.

A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date. Her family looks forward to gathering with friends and loved ones to honor her memory and share the joy she brought into their lives.

In honor of Nancy's love for animals, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston or the MSPCA.

Nancy will be deeply missed and forever loved.

I only got to know Nancy later in life, but quickly learned what a beautiful person she was. She was so loved and cherished by her husband, children, grandchildren, friends and everyone who was lucky enough to know her. I think of her often while trying to live life by her shining example. This beautiful soul was taken far too soon and is deeply missed by all. Gail Ollila

Dave, "the kids" (and spouses!), Riji and Andrea: my heart is with you and I will always hold the memories of getting together at Grandma's house on Falcon Street a million years ago, the empanada party at Nan's and Dave's, and the way too infrequent get togethers close. Cousin Rob

I always told Nan she was braver and stronger than she thought she was, and we witnessed her incredible courage as she battled illness. Rest in peace, Sis.

I loved Nancy so much. She would call me to chat, and 2 hours later, we'd say our goodbyes. I will miss her positive attitude and love of family.
