Amos F. Koontz, Jr., 88, of Windsor, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. He was the beloved husband of 66 years to Evelyn S. (Wineholt) Koontz.
Mr. Koontz was born in Windsor on November 28, 1935 and grew up in Craley. He was the son of the late Amos F. and Beulah (Nace) Koontz.
Amos worked in manufacturing for most of his life. He retired in 1997 from Yorktowne Kitchens, after 28 years of service. He enjoyed antique cars and watching TV. He loved going to family gatherings and being with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Amos E. Koontz, Cindy Sentz (Jerry), Melissa Keiser (Brent) and Sharon Moody (Todd); grandchildren, Keith Witmer (Kim), Buffy Bisking (Roy), Scott Patterson, Danielle Keiser, Justine Patterson, Tyler Moody (Jen) and Mason Keiser (Cassandra). He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Safari, Shelby, Hunter, Iyanna, Ian, Ivanna, Kyleigh, Kenady, Dyson, Kinsley, Hazel, and Easton; as well as a great-great granddaughter, Morgan.
