Anna Cooper Obituary

Anna Mae Cooper, 85, Hamilton, MO., passed away on January 27, 2025, at the Liberty Hospital, Liberty, MO.
Anna Mae was born on March 4, 1939, in Gallatin, MO., to Roscoe and Gayle (Snider) Lowrey. She grew up in Gallatin, and later the family moved to Hamilton where she attended high school and graduated from the Penney High School in 1957. Anna Mae was employed at the Stride Rite Shoe Company for many years and was a foreman for the company.
On September 7, 1957, Anna Mae married Bill Riley Cooper at the Prairie Ridge Church, west of Polo, MO. He preceded her in death in 1993. Anna Mae was also preceded in death by her parents and her 2 sisters-Jane Wilson and Beverly Brundage.
After her beloved husband passed, Anna Mae enjoyed traveling and spending time with her sisters. She also enjoyed the company and friendship of her friends and co-workers from Stride Rite. The group would go out to eat and spend lots of quality time together.
Survivors who will miss her dearly include her daughters-Sally DeWeese (Paul), Excelsior Springs, MO., Sherri Hartley (Dan), Hamilton; and honorary daughter-Marian Nelson, Cameron; grandchildren-Denise Kamm (David), Kearney, MO.; Lauren Whitt (Colt), and Nick and Morgan Hartley; great-grandchildren-Anna Mae Kamm and Kaden Kamm; brother-in-law-Steve Cooper, Pilot Grove, MO.; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who knew her well and loved and cared for her; and her many 4-legged grandchildren.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2025, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.
Visitation: 1 hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the funeral home on January 31.
Interment: Prairie Ridge Cemetery, Polo, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hamilton Federated Church or the First Christian Church of Cameron, in care of the funeral home.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 30, at Bram Funeral Home from noon until 5.
