Anna Schaffer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Neidhard-Young Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy on Sep. 14, 2024.
Anna Rose Schaffer, beloved wife of John L. "Jack" Schaffer, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the age of 94. A lifelong resident of North College Hill, Anna was known for her warm heart and unwavering devotion to her family.
Anna was the devoted mother of John (Roel Aguilan) Schaffer, Roseann (Brian) Knue, Cathy (Kevin) Mullaney, and Michael (Lisa) Schaffer. She was a cherished grandmother to Emily Parisey, Laura (Tim) Fogarty, Zachary Schaffer, Rebecca (Michael) Maxwell, Matthew Schaffer, Kelsey Mullaney, Scott Schaffer, Evan Mullaney, Alex (Jenna) Knue, and Ben Mullaney. Great grandmother to Madelyn and Lucas Fogarty. Anna was also the loving sister of the late Joe (Mary) Gilene, Tony (Grace) Gilene, Mike (Dorothy) Gilene, Mary (Bill) Phelps, Julie (Patrick) Agnew and Gracie Gilene. Beloved mother-in-law to the late Kevin Mullaney. Anna is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Anna had a remarkable way of making everyone she met feel valued and loved, a reflection of her deep kindness and generosity. She found joy in simple pleasures like playing cards and socializing with her friends and family. Family was the center of her world; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest sources of pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her nearly 67-year marriage to Jack was a testament to their enduring love, and together they loved to travel, creating a lifetime of shared adventures. For over 50 years, Anna was a devoted member of St. Margaret Mary Church. Anna spent the final five years of her life at Mallard Cove Senior Living in Sharonville, Ohio, where she found joy and was lovingly cared for by the dedicated staff.
Visitation will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church 1830 W. Galbraith Rd., North College Hill (45239) on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 9:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Margaret Mary Church or a charity of your choice.
