Annabelle Nolker Obituary

Annabelle (McGinnis) Nolker, 99, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Oak Ridge Assisted Living in Richmond.
Annabelle was born on April 11, 1925, in Richmond, the daughter of Roy and Ada (O'Dell) McGinnis. She was united in marriage to John Nolker of Richmond on August 10, 1942; he preceded her in death on July 27, 1990.
Survivors include: two sons, Jim (Nancy) Nolker and Gary (Carolene) Nolker, both of Richmond; daughter, Johnna (Trey) Collins of Sapulpa, OK; seven grandchildren, Brett (Jill) Nolker, Brandon Nolker, Blaine (Stacy) Nolker, Chad Nolker, Chastidy (Wayne) Loftin, Tucker (Stephanie) Collins, Cassidey (Gaylon) Riddles; two step grandchildren, Marcus (Kim) Pate and Kim (Justin) Ball; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Annabelle was preceded in death by brother, Howard McGinnis.
Annabelle was born and raised in Richmond, where she graduated from Richmond High School. In addition to raising her family, she spent many dedicated years as a secretary for Waller Trucking Company and Richmond Transfer. Known for her lively spirit and love for social gatherings, Annabelle was a cherished member of the Jolly Jills and the Red Hat Ladies. She took every opportunity to be out and about, often attending her family's sporting events, playing cards with friends, and traveling to new places.
A true matriarch, Annabelle's family held her in the highest regard, honoring her as the cornerstone of their lives. She had a few beloved TV shows, including The Gilmore Girls, Reba, and Family Feud, which brought her a sense of joy and comfort. Annabelle was a woman of faith, actively involved with the Christian Union Church in Richmond. Her love, kindness, and spirited personality will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Children's Mercy Hospital Burn Unit. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Visitation with funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Thurman Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm, with services to follow at 2:00 pm.
