Anne Self Obituary

Mrs. Anne Buddin Self passed away peacefully Monday, September 30, 2024. She was 69 yrs old. Mrs. Self was born in Rock Hill on July 1, 1955 to the late James and Phyllis Buddin Sr. She attended the first graduating class of Northwestern High School in 1973.
Mrs. Self attended Coastal Carolina and Winthrop University and got a 4-year degree in Experimental Psychology. She worked in Advertising at the Charlotte observer and the York Observer. She is survived by her husband, Richard of 43 years, her daughter Jennifer, her son Christopher, and her special grandson Zachary Richard Self. She is also survived by her three brothers James H. Buddin Jr, Charles Frank Buddin both of Rock Hill and David Gary Buddin of West Virginia. She has a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Anne was a Carolina girl. She was also a military wife. She enjoyed traveling to Paris, Germany, England and many other places. In 1985 in Columbus Mississippi, she had Their daughter Jennifer and in 1989 in Omaha Nebraska she had their son Christopher. In 1992 they came back to Rock Hill and it became their home. She loved her children and grandson tremendously and will be missed by so many. May she rest in eternal peace.
