Annie Louise Woodard, 93 of Sylva, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024. She was born on April 2, 1931, in Jackson County, NC to the late Oscar and Bessie Williams Woodard.
In addition to her parents, Annie is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Woodard; grandchild, Ryan Creasman; sisters, Margie Rhinehart Bradley, Evelyn Wilson, Myra Wilson, Earline Shook; brothers, Oscar Woodard, Jay Woodard, Robert Woodard.
Annie is survived by her children, Mary Houston Ashe (Homer), Joyce Phillips, Steven Young (Betty), Joseph Houston, James Houston, Jerry Morgan; sisters, Ivy Miller and Mildred Pangle (Lewis); 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm Monday, December 9, 2024, at Appalachian Funeral Services. Burial will follow at Wilmont Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:00-1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
