Antionette S. Thompson, age 82 of Cub Run, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and a homemaker. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was the daughter of the late Robert Spaldin Stinson and the late Edwina Frances Clemmons Stinson.
She is preceded in death by one sister, Marsha Webb; four brothers, Percy, Delma, Cletus, and Joe Stinson.
She is survived by her husband of, Marvin Thompson, Cub Run, KY; her seven children, Martha Nell Myers, Cave City, KY, Tammy Rose Johnston (Kevin), Leitchfield, KY, Timothy Ross Thompson (Faith Terry), Cub Run, KY, Anita Ann Thompson (Jim Rogers), Elizabethtown, KY, Marsha Shewmaker (Billy), Cub Run, KY, Marla Kay Thompson (Pierre Goulet), Cub Run, KY, Carol Sue Humphrey (Stephen), Clarkson, KY; 20 grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Ryan, Seth, John Ryan, Casey, Tia, Travis, Bret, Rachel, Robert, Cassandra, Clinton, Kayla, Will, Caleb, Christopher, Trevor, Adam, Lilly, and Hannah; 15 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Charlie Stinson (Brenda), Larry Stinson, Jimmy Stinson (Julie), Roger Stinson (Mimi); seven sisters, Linda Clark, Janice Cottrell, Kay Taylor, Carolyn Gibson (Mike), Sherry Roberson (Ben), Mary Davidson (Danny), and Tammy Herndon; 15 great-grandchildren; a special niece and caregiver, Rekita Thompson; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.
The family will receive friends from 12:00- 8:00 PM CT on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home with a prayer service at 5:00 PM CT with Fr. Steve Hohman officiating. Visitation will continue from 9:00- 11:00 AM CT on Monday, April 22, 2024 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Clarkson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Monday, April 22, 2024 at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Fr. Brian Johnson officiating. Burial to follow in the Cub Run Cemetery.
