Obituary of April Lee Loppnow
April Lee Loppnow, aged 59, of Rosemount, MN, passed away on October 26, 2024, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Born on May 7, 1965 in Oconto WI. She graduated from Oconto Falls high school in 1983, but never stopped learning about the world and those she cared about. April spent her life nurturing her surroundings, whether it was her family, her career, or nature.
April was a loving mother to Marissa and Cassandra Loppnow, who were the centers of her universe. She dedicated her life to creating cherished memories with them, ensuring each moment was an adventure. Her career spanned over 35 years at Wells Fargo, where she excelled as a Senior Project Manager since 2005, demonstrating her strong will and professional dedication.
Beyond her professional life, April was passionate about the natural world. She was particularly fond of birds, often rescuing injured or abused animals. Her love for gardening was evident in her beautiful collection of plants and flowers. April also had a zest for travel, exploring numerous places with her family, and she enjoyed hobbies like reading, particularly the works of John Connolly, listening to music, camping, cross stitch, cooking, and geocaching.
April leaves behind her daughters, Marissa and Cassandra of Savage, MN; her mother, Margo Allen Kent and stepdad, Thomas Kent of Green Bay area, WI; siblings Heather Schwartz and spouse John of Palm Bay, Florida, Eric Allen and spouse Laurie of De Pere. WI; step siblings Kristen Lison, spouse Brian, Brianna Wright, spouse Chris, also of De Pere. WI; her Aunt Cindy Rysewyk of Oconto WI; cousins Andy Rysewyk, Pattie Allen Stickles, Cindy Allen Watanabe, Kathy Allen, Sara Taylor-Gooden, Scott Allen, Christi Allen, Jeffrey Allen and James Allen. Also former spouse, James M. Loppnow of Savage, MN; In-laws Debby and Dan Loppnow; and her best friend, Jodi Harvat Shier of Pulaski, WI. She is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews, Alexandria, Hunter, Calvin and Gabrial Schwartz, Bryce and Denver Allen, Jack and Steven Lison, Kylar Wright, and David and Diana Loppnow. Along with her beloved parrots, Kasey and Mojo. April was preceded in death by her father, George G. Allen; her grandparents, Neville and Doris Meincke, Grace and Donald Allen, her uncle Donald Allen, and her cousins Sandy Allen and Bobbie Allen.
Services to honor April's life will be held at Glendale United Methodist Church in Savage, MN on Sunday, October 10th at 1pm and in Oconto, WI, with a date to be announced.
April's legacy of kindness, strength, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her spirit, forever adventurous and caring, will continue to inspire those she loved.
