Arlene Scudder Obituary
She was born in Millville to the late Artlen and Helen (Moore) Scudder. Arlene was a lifelong resident of Millville and graduated from Millville High School, Class of 1962. She continued her education by receiving her Associates Degree from Harcum College, and a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Glassboro State College.
For over 30 years Arlene worked as an Elementary School Teacher, primarily for the Shiloh School District and retired.
An avid reader, Arlene also enjoyed traveling, especially in the summer months and playing BINGO. She was also known as a scratch off lottery ticket aficionado.
Arlene will be sadly missed by her sister Barbara Scudder of Millville; her niece Stephanie Rosenmertz and her husband Michael of NJ; and two great nieces, Zoe and her fiance Evan, and Hanna Paige.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. A graveside service and burial will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville. In memory of Arlene, the family requests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Memories of Arlene and condolences for her family may be shared on her tribute wall.

My grandaughter Sophia really enjoyed listening to Arlene when she talked about teaching in Shiloh. She was very intrigued by her knowledge of sharks also.. Our time together was short, but it will always hold a special place in our hearts

I will always remember Arlene for her contributions to the students at Shiloh School. The memories are many and especially how supportive she was in her prime of making sure students were responsible and respectful.
