Arville Lee Mooneyham, 72 of Pine Mountain, GA died Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Piedmont Northside Medical Center in Columbus, GA.
Mr. Mooneyham was born November 18, 1951, in Geraldine, AL the son of Arville Willie Mooneyham and Edna McGlaughn Mooneyham. He retired as the Director of Maintenance and later served as a project manager for the Harris County Board of Education. He started working for the School Board in September 29, 1975. He was a member of the Community Chapel in Pine Mountain Valley. He loved being outside, hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Phillip Keith Mooneyham, brothers Jimmy McGlaughn and Bob McGlaughn and sister Ethel Britton.
He is survived by his wife Jackie Mooneyham of Pine Mountain, GA, daughter Lisa (Richie) Rasmussen of West Point, GA, stepsons Robert Ferrone of Fortson and Daniel (Shana) Ferrone of Pine Mountain, GA. Grandchildren Kate Fouts, Delaney Ferrone, Abby Ferrone, Sly Ferrone and Brianna (Jacob) Moye, sisters Nancy (Brett) Smith of Newnan, GA and Judy (Mike Friend) Mooneyham of Indiana along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Mooneyham will be 5:00 pm Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Community Chapel in Pine Mountain Valley. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm at the church prior to the service. The burial will be private at the Pine Mountain Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted, both those desiring may make donations in memory of Arville Mooneyham to Community Chapel's Outreach Ministries.
Cox Funeral Home in Hamilton will be in charge of the arrangements and the family requests that you sign the online registry and leave condolences on the tribute wall page.

Orville was always there when I had a problem during my time at the school system. That was for almost 28years. That's a long time. He was a kind person and also shared his smile. He was a good man and will be missed.
