Barbara Booth Obituary

Barbara, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. She was a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana. Barbara was a hairdresser for 20 years and worked in a home shop to care for her clients, friends, and family. After her husband Ellis retired, they traveled the United States for 8 and a half years together making many memories along the way. Barbara enjoyed sewing, quilting, and stained glass projects. Above all, she loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always put her family first. Barbara will be forever loved and missed.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 65 wonderful years, Ellis Booth; daughter, Donna Lockhart (Mike); son-in-law, John Burgoyne; sister, Bobbie May (Gerald); cousin, Joyce Ernandez; niece, Robin Firman (Ricky); nephew, Todd Booth; grandchildren, Amanda Scivicque (Brandon), Stephanie Myrick, Michael Lockhart (Heather), Meagan Burt (Scott), Brandon Burgoyne (Brittany), and Randi Dane Blackwell; as well as 20 great-grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her son, Randy James Booth; daughter, Tammy Burgoyne; and parents, Norman and Odell Henry.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 7738 Florida Blvd. Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m.
