Jason J. Carson, Age 62. Beloved husband of 30 years to Kimberly A. (nee Peterson). Loving father of Zachary (Daniela), Luke, and Abby. Best dog dad to Kane and Kona. Loving son of Joan (Ronald) Boyum and the late James Carson. Brother of Jeff Carson and Eric Boyum. Dearest cousin of Stephen Carson. Loving son in law of Donna and the late George "Pops" Peterson. Beloved brother-in-law of Cindy and Dave Dietz, Connie and Frank DeJulio, and David Peterson. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Best friend of Randy (Jill) Sokol and friend of so many more.
Jason was born on May 11, 1963, in Akron, OH. During his early years, he lived in many places, Georgia being one of his favorites, until he found his home in Arlington Heights, IL with his wife and children. He was the Director of Security and Operations at St. Peter Lutheran Church and School in Arlington Heights. Jason was a long-time member of the church; he was a devout Christian and faithful servant of his community. He was a fierce protector not only of his family, but all the children and staff at St. Peter. Some of the happiest times in his life were spent coaching his sons' baseball teams and being a cheer dad to his daughter. One of his most recent and proudest moments was completing training for Arlington Heights' first Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Jason loved his country deeply and showed that love through his actions and his character. He will be dearly missed. Visitation Friday October 24 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E Rand Rd, Mt Prospect, IL. Prayer Service will be on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will then proceed to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W Olive St, Arlington Heights, for the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Matz Mt. Prospect Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect, Illinois 60056 (847) 394-2336. In lieu of flowers please consider donations in remembrance to: TCF (www.testicularcancerfoundation.org) and/or www.FoldsofHonor.org. and www.fulllifeinchrist.org
