Barbara E. Stahlman, 78, of Seneca, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday morning, November 10, 2024, at the home of her daughter.
She was born in Titusville on January 16, 1946 to the late Clair and Grace (Miller) See.
Barbara earned her G.E.D. in the early 90s from the Literacy Council at the Oil City Vo-Tech.
She was a member of the Oil City Moose Club where she had many friends and enjoyed playing music Bingo.
She attended Atlantic Ave. United Brethren Church in Franklin, and formerly attended the Heckathorn United Methodist Church.
Barb enjoyed sewing, making Halloween costumes, crafts, puzzles, fishing, and her animals. She loved watching the birds, the Holiday season, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Through the years, she worked at various local establishments including Mong's Dairy, JoAnn Fabrics, Stellar's Personal Care, U.P.S., and Giant Eagle.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Stahlman, who died November 15, 2015; and her son, Nathan L. Stahlman, who died May 13, 2023. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Elgie, Clair, and Chuck See.
She is survived by two children, Lynn Tobin and her husband John of Oil City, and Matthew Stahlman and his wife Margaret of Pleasantville; five grandchildren, Thrisha Tobin, Heather Tobin, Teddy Stahlman, Deanna Buck, and Alan Stahlman; and five great-grandchildren, Logan, Taylor, Thomas, Owen, and Isaac. Also surviving is her very close friend, Nancy Gustafson of Oil City.
A visitation will be held Wednesday (Nov. 13) from 6 - 7 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, where a memorial service will follow Wednesday at 7 p.m. with Pastor David McVay, officiating.
