Bernice Eason Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pink Hill Funeral Home on Sep. 30, 2024.
Bernice "Nadine" (Stroud) Eason (March 11, 1952 - September 29, 2024)
Nadine Eason, beloved wife to James Edward Eason, Jr and beloved mother to James "Scott" Eason (1972-2014) and Daniel Eason, passed peacefully from this world and into the arms of her Lord on September 29th, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
Nadine was born in Kinston on March 11, 1952 to Lehman and Bernice Stroud. Nadine was the 6th of 7 children to Lehman and Bernice - Ronell Howard, the late Rueben Stroud, Shirley Lee (Odell), Russell Stroud, Brenda Broadway (Roger), and Linnie Stroud (Kathy).
Nadine attended South Lenoir High School and worked in the Kinston Shirt Factory as a seamstress before becoming a homemaker for her husband and two sons.
James and Nadine were married September 18, 1971. Nadine deeply loved James, Scotty (Laura), Daniel (Lamanda), grandchildren (Caleb, Kaitlyn, Travis, & Emmalyn and Tyler, Julie & Travis), and her many nieces and nephews. Her greatest joys were raising her boys and spending time with her grandchildren. The family is comforted by the words found in Psalm 94:19, "When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul".
A service to honor the memory of Nadine will be held on Tuesday, October 1st, 6:00pm at Bethel FWB Church. Visitation will be held following the service. The graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery on Wednesday, October 2nd at 11:00am.
