Bessemer City - Brantley Scott Miles, 8, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte.
Brantley was born on February 9, 2017 in Gaston County son of Justus James Taylor of Bessemer City and Brandie Lynn Miles of Dallas. Brantley was a rising third grader at Tryon Elementary School. He was all boy and enjoyed the outdoors, loved to fish and skip rocks. Brantley also loved animals and monster trucks and enjoyed watching YouTube and playing video games.
In addition to his parents survivors include two sisters, Jayla Lynn Taylor of Bessemer City; Chloe Burns of Dallas; two brothers Jordan Burns of Dallas; Kolton Harris; Grandparents Diane Maglione (Dennis Dollhausen) of West Virginia; Jamie Taylor of Cherryville; Scott Miles and Jerrie Aldridge both of Dallas; Cindy Lynn Nolen and a great grandmother, Francis Taylor of Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:45PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Venture Church in Dallas.
A celebration of life service for Brantley will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Venture Church in Dallas with Pastor Austin Rammell
Burial will be private.
Memorials may be made to Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte.
