Betty D. Clark
May 27, 1928 - October 1, 2024 at the age of 96, Betty D. Clark passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at East Troy Manor nursing home where she lived for the past 8 years. Betty was born to Walter and Pearl Hartranft in Indiana. In 1941, the family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Betty met her future husband, Robert A. Clark. After they married in 1949, the couple moved to Swift Lake, just outside of Troy Center, where they raised their two children, Robert and Denise. Betty's husband passed away in 1978. She then moved to the Village of East Troy, where she spent the rest of her years.
Betty worked in the kitchens of several restaurants over the years, including Sterlingworth, Crossroads, and Linden Terrace. She loved what she was doing! In her spare time, Betty loved doing puzzles of all kinds and playing games with neighbors. At East Troy Manor, she enjoyed playing games and participating in the arts and crafts activities run by the nursing home. She also loved feeding and watching the birds and squirrels play! Betty is survived by her brother, Donald (Beverly) Hartranft, her children Robert (Linda) Clark and Denise (Mark) Flasch, grandsons Eric (Shelly) Healey and Steven Clark (Howard Auerbach), granddaughters Sarah Zimmermann and Mickey (Joseph) Barnes, great grandchildren Autumn Healey, Zoey Barnes, Blake Barnes, and Trevor Barnes, nephew Jeremy (Jessica) Hartranft and their children Callie and Kara, and niece Angie (Mike) Urban and their children Trevor and Evan. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Walter (Pearl) Hartranft, sister Demarus Hartranft, husband Robert A. Clark, and great-granddaughter Emily R. Barnes. A private service is planned at Wood's National Veterans Cemetery in Milwaukee so that Betty can be reunited with her late husband. The family would like to thank all the beautiful, caring, and giving folks at the East Troy Manor nursing home for the past 8 years and the St. Croix Hospice Care people for the past few months!
