Betty Lou (Barrett) Feltner was born June 18, 1937 in London, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Amel Barrett and Maggie (Swanner) Barrett. She was united in marriage to Paul Feltner who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Paul Feltner and wife Angie of London; son-in-law, Al Smith of London; sister; Joann Barrett of London; two grandchildren, Jakob Smith and Addy Feltner; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Monica Smith; three siblings, Bernice Chesnut, Bill Barrett, and Jean Barrett.
She was a member of Hart Baptist Church. Betty was a devoted Christian, who loved to talk about going to church. Through the years, she taught hundreds of students in her Sunday School class. Her Hospice caretakers were amazed that even in her sickness she continued to have faith and a positive outlook on life. She loved spending time with family, and she was well known throughout the community for her baking skills. She loved baking German Chocolate Cakes, Orange Slice Cakes, and Carrot Cakes for special occasions.
Betty Lou (Barrett) Feltner departed this life Thursday, October 3, 2024 being 87 years, 3 months, and 15 days of age.
The funeral service for Betty Lou (Barrett) Feltner will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Nix Cemetery in London, Kentucky.
The family of Betty Lou (Barrett) Feltner will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday until the service hour of 3:00 p.m.
