Betty J. Ross of Michie, TN departed this life on September 21, 2024 in Tupelo, MS at the age of 73 Years, 7 Months, 4 Days. She was born February 17, 1951 in Corinth, MS, the daughter of the late Herman “Bo” Ross and Opal Rose Ross.
Ms. Ross was a talented seamstress and former co-owner of Pennie Lane’s Formals in Savannah, TN for 27 years. She sewed elegant drapes and made beautiful dresses for many in the community for years until her retirement. Betty was known for her niche in interior design and for her love for all animals, especially her dog, Hershey. She truly loved going to see her family, being outdoors, and gardening. She had a wonderful gift to turn ordinary things to beautiful things. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Michie.
She is survived by a daughter, Pennie Wardlow Neill and husband Wesley of Savannah, TN; 2 grandchildren, Ross Neill and Reed Neill, sisters: Glenda Micheal (Ronald), Theresa Huggins (David), Marylin Fowler, brothers: Sammy Ross, Al Ross (Linda), Ricky Ross (Connie), Tim Ross (Maurica), Danny Ross (Leighanne) with a host of family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Ross was preceded in death by a son, Zane Sheldon Wardlow, sisters: Myra Nell Rickman and Peggy Elam.
