Beverly Ann Hicks, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2024, in Edgewood, Kentucky. She was born on April 6, 1963, in Carrollton, Kentucky, where she spent her formative years and graduated from Carroll County High School.
Beverly embarked on her professional working journey at Teledyne Packaging early in her career most recently in her life in the maintenance department at Wal-Mart in Carrollton until her health declined.
Beyond her professional life, Beverly enjoyed a vibrant array of hobbies that reflected her creative spirit. She had a knack for crafts, which allowed her to express her artistic flair. Beverly also found joy in watching Disney movies and collecting stuffed animals, she loved tending to her garden, showcasing her love for nature and storytelling. In addition, she delighted in playing Facebook games, often sharing moments of fun and laughter with friends and family.
Beverly is remembered by her loving sons, Benjamin (Alisha) Hicks of Worthville, KY, and Matthew (Mary) Hicks of Carrollton, KY. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, Jackson Hicks, Elijah Hicks, Mason Hicks, James Hicks, Ashton Hicks, Jasmine Vanfosson, Savannah Vanfosson, Jayden Vanfosson, and Emily Hicks
She is survived by her brothers, Michael Popp of Dillsboro, IN, and Gary Popp of Crestwood, KY. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Carroll Hicks and Neva Frances West Hicks; her sister, Linda Hicks; and two brothers, Benjamin K. Hicks and George Hicks.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a funeral service following at 1:00 PM. Both services will take place at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, located at 809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, KY 41008.
Beverly's kind spirit, creative passions, and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through the memories shared by friends and family.
