Bill Catlett Obituary

Bill E. Catlett, 86, of Pearcy, Arkansas, a devoted husband and father was called up to be with the Good Lord on November 1, 2024.
He was predeceased by his father and mother Joe & Thelma Catlett of Hot Springs; sisters, Louise Veasey of Hot Springs, Virginia (Jay) Overturf of Malvern, Geraldine (Gerald) Hatmaker of Hot Springs, and baby sister, Beverly.
Bill was born on June 28, 1938, in Hot Springs. he graduated from Hot Springs High School and married Glenda Hunter of Royal, loving wife of 65 plus years. Bill worked as a Cooper (Barrel Maker) for 20 years before going to work at Stratcor (Union Carbide) where he retired as a supervisor. He was also a carpenter, welder, electrician, plumber, HVAC Tech, and a licensed boiler operator.
Bill was an avid hunter, fisherman, and dog hunter. He loved his yard and garden work. He was also a project person.
He is survived by his wife Glenda Catlett of Pearcy; brother, Don (Donna) Catlett of Pearcy; sons, Joe Catlett of Hot Springs and Billy (Melissa) Catlett of Bonnerdale; grandsons, Brennan (Chelsea) Catlett of Hot Springs, Blayne (Lexi) Catlett of Royal and Forrest Catlett of Bonnerdale; great-grandchildren, Zhane, Grayson, Roman, Hyzlan, Roczen, and Blaiklyn; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are: Brennan Catlett, Blayne Catlett, Forrest Catlett, Zhane Catlett, Grayson Sullivan, Roman Catlett, and Roczen Catlett.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Elite Hospice, Vista Heights Baptist Church, and Jeff Speer.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 8th at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home from 1-2 PM with a celebration of life to follow at 2 PM with Wayne Murphree and Wade Overturf officiating.
Burial will follow at Ouachita Cemetery in Donaldson, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vista Heights Baptist Church or your choice, 308 Vista Avenue, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901.
