Bobbie Thompson Obituary

Bobbie Lee Thompson, born in San Bernardino, California on November 4, 1943, and passed away on September 30, 2025, in Estero, Florida. A vibrant spirit, Bobbie was an adventurous athlete during her youth, participating in motor cross racing and surfing. Later in life, she became a tennis master, demonstrating her competitive spirit and passion for sports. She continued to remain active, involving herself in fitness classes, walking and winning several gold medals in the Olympic Games at Siena Lakes, Naples, Florida.
Professionally, Bobbie made her mark as a dedicated dental hygienist. Her love for food led her to attend a French culinary school in France, where she honed her culinary skills. Bobbie shared her passion for desserts with the world through her book, Bobbie's Best Desserts, delighting friends and family alike.
Bobbie cherished her time spent cultivating her beloved Kent mango tree in Autumn Woods, where she crafted delicious mango jam and mango salsa with the help of her friends. She made her secret candied pecan recipe every fall placing them in the salads as well as giving them away as gifts. She traveled the world with her beloved husband, Ron, embracing new cultures and adventures.
Bobbie is survived by her extended family, including nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish the memories of her laughter and love.
A celebration of life will be held on November 9, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM at Joanne's Hospice House, located at 27200 Imperial Parkway, Bonita Springs, FL. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the excellent care Bobbie received under hospice services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice in her memory.
