Brenda Wicker Obituary

BRENDA FERRELL WICKER, age 72, of Manchester, Tenn., formerly of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Ascension St. Thomas Mid-town in Nashville, Tenn., Ms. Wicker was born in Tullahoma, Tenn., to the late Buford Eugene Ferrell and Annie Roberta Whitman Ferrell on June 22, 1952. Mrs. Wicker was a graduate of Tullahoma High School and Motlow State Community College. She spent her career working in the finance department for many businesses, including Southern Tire Mart and Kentucky Finance. Upon marrying her loving husband, she relocated to Mississippi for the majority of her adult life. She returned to Tennessee two years ago, to be closer to her amazing brothers, sisters-in-law, and other family. She was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan (even through the bad years, which she became accustomed to), and could regularly be found sporting her Tennessee Orange apparel. While she loved her children, her pride and joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether visiting in person or through Facetime, her eyes beamed with joy and pride when she talked and played with them. She was the greatest "Nana" a kid could ask for, and will be missed immensely by them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Wicker and brothers; Layne and Ronnie Ferrell.
She is survived by her Sons: Curtis Wicker and wife, Heather of Long Beach, Miss., Jeremy Wicker and wife, Allison of Brandon, Miss. and Daughter, Brittney Strickland and husband, Keith, of McComb, Miss., Step-son, Richie Stonecypher and wife, Susan of Brandon, Miss., Jeff Wicker and wife, Rachel of Tyrone, Ga., and 20 grandchildren and 4-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers: Bobby Ferrell of Normandy, Tenn., J.C. Ferrell and wife, Shirley of Tullahoma, Jerry Ferrell and wife, Brenda of Estill Springs, Tenn., Billy Ferrell and Wayne Ferrell and wife, Dana all of Tullahoma.
The family would like to thank the wonderful team at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital Midtown for the compassion and care that was shown to Mrs. Wicker and her family during her time there.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 15, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, in Tullahoma.
